Sophia Augeri joined The Glazer Law Office in August, 2013. Sophia has represented clients facing criminal charges as varied as Driving Under the Influence –Alcohol and/or Drugs (DUI), Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, Criminal Speed, Driving with Suspended License, Driving in Violation of Interlock-Restricted License, Reckless Driving, Possession of Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Damage, Disorderly Conduct, Assault, Domestic Violence, Trespass, Minor in Possession, Use of Fake/False ID, and Unauthorized Permission to Minor.
She has also assisted numerous clients with a variety of post-case actions including Appeals, Petitions to Set Aside Conviction, Motions to Seal, and Criminal History Records Challenges. She has substantial experience resolving driver license and driving privileges issues involving the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). She routinely litigates Admin Per Se and Implied Consent administrative hearings before the Executive Hearing Office and has helped clients navigate an array of MVD-imposed requirements arising from traffic violations (including license suspension and revocation issues, ignition interlock devices, special ignition interlock restricted driver licenses, restricted driving privilege permits, alcohol and drug screenings, SR22 insurance matters, early restriction deferrals, license reinstatements, and Traffic Survival School assignments).
Prior to joining the firm, Sophia worked with the Kirtland Air Force Base Judge Advocate Corps, providing legal aid to service members and assisting military attorneys with trial preparation. She also served as a tax clinician at Michigan State University’s Legal Clinic, where she assisted low-income clients. Sophia has interned as a judicial clerk for the Coconino County Superior Courthouse and as an assistant to the Public Information Officer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Phoenix. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Sophia worked as a health systems case administrator.
Sophia holds a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law and a B.A. in English Literature (summa cum laude) from Arizona State University. She is an active member of the following organizations:
